International Meeting on Ganoderma Research
Beijing, 16-18th August, 2011

Remarkable progress in Ganoderma (Lingzhi) research and product development has been achieved in recent years, and members of this genus have been the focus of considerable attention both in China and elsewhere. A large number of studies have been undertaken on a range of different aspects including biological characteristics, chemical composition and bioactive components of these mushrooms, pharmacological effects and underlying mechanisms, clinical applications, and product quality control. Furthermore, progress has not been confined to the laboratory, and the Lingzhi industry in general has also seen major developments.
In order to promote Lingzhi research, development and utilization, and strengthen academic exchange, the 2011 International Meeting on Ganoderma Research will be held at the China Hall of Science and Technology in Beijing from 16-18th August, 2011. The meeting is organized by the International Society on Ganoderma Research (ISGR), the Chinese Pharmacological Society (CNPHARS), the Medicinal Mushroom Committee of the China Edible Fungi Association and the Edible Fungi Branch of the Chinese Association of Agricultural Science Societies.

(3) Fermentation engineering
(4) Chemical composition and bioactive components
(5) Pharmacological effects and underlying mechanisms
(6) Clinical applications and health care
(7) Products and quality control

III Call for Abstracts
A Book of Abstracts will be published for the meeting. Abstracts should be no longer than 800 words, including author names and affiliations, and should not contain any references. They can be written in either Chinese or English, although authors are encouraged to submit joint Chinese and English versions of their abstract wherever possible.
Abstract format: abstracts should include the objective(s), methodology, results (present only the most important data), discussion and conclusions. Times New Roman font should be used throughout, The title should be typed in bold font (size 14), author(s) and affiliation(s) in small block letters (bold font size 12), and the text in regular font (size 11). Electronic versions only should be sent to Dr. Zhu Xiaoling, Pharmacology Department, Beijing University Health Science Center (Email address: xiaolingzhu88@yahoo.com.cn). The deadline for submission is 30th June, 2011.
IV Program
The meeting will consist of Plenary Lectures (by invitation of the Organizing Committee) of 30 minutes duration, and General Presentations (selected by the Organizing Committee from submitted papers) of 15 minutes duration. Participants will be required to deliver their reports in the form of Power Point presentations, and computers and projectors will be provided by the organizers. PPT presentations in both Chinese and English will be welcome.
V Registration
The registration fee for participants from outside China is US$150, payable at the time of registration.
VI Accommodation
Accommodation will be available in the 4-star China Hall of Science and Technology Hotel. A standard double room is RMB 350 per day and a business room is RMB 480 per day. After return your registration form, your room will be reserved by the Meeting Secretariat
